Celio 

The districts takes its name from the Celio hill and was established by the Comune in 1872. It is an area practically set inside the Monti district and, as well as the many monuments of the Roman and Christian Age, has vast areas of public gardens.

Celio is in the heart of Ancient Rome, from where you can easily reach:

- Colle Oppio Park, where it has recently been opened the Emperors Nero's house (Domus Aurea) at 100 mt;

- The Colosseum, which is partly visible trough one of the flat windows;

- The Jubilee Basilica of St. John (300 mt.);
